Business Trip Highlights – Seattle
This trip to Seattle was not only an important client visit but also a valuable opportunity for new experiences. Seattle is not only a major technology and manufacturing hub in the Northwestern United States but also a rapidly growing center for the medical industry. With its drizzly weather, lush green streets, and globally renowned companies, stepping into Seattle immediately gives one a sense of innovation and quality consciousness.
The client we visited is a manufacturer specializing in medical components, with extremely high quality management standards for suppliers. They require ISO 13485 certification to ensure that production quality meets the strict standards of the medical industry. Ho Song not only holds this certification but also operates a Class 1000 cleanroom, providing customers with one-stop services including precision component machining, cleaning, and assembly. During the meeting, we provided a detailed explanation of how we maintain high cleanliness standards for medical components in a cleanroom environment and demonstrated our precision manufacturing capabilities, giving the client great confidence in future cooperation.
Seattle’s cost of living is among the highest in the U.S., especially in the city center. A regular pour-over coffee costs around $6–7, a simple dinner at a restaurant can easily cost $20–30, and hotel prices are astonishing, with business hotels charging over $250 per night. Housing prices in Seattle remain high, driven by the growth of the technology and medical industries, leading to strong housing demand and continuously rising rents and living costs.
Outside of work, I took the opportunity to experience the unique charm of this city. I strolled through Pike Place Market, watching fishmongers skillfully toss salmon, enjoyed an authentic Seattle coffee, and admired the spectacular Space Needle from a distance. This trip to Seattle not only facilitated business exchanges but also deepened my appreciation of the city’s precision, rigor, and rich cultural atmosphere.
