Business Trip Insights – Romania

This business trip took us to Bucharest, the capital of Romania, a city with a population of nearly 2 million and the country’s economic and cultural center. Bucharest blends classical European and modern architecture, with landmarks such as the Arch of Triumph and the Palace of Parliament symbolizing history and power. In recent years, the local economy has grown rapidly, with the defense, manufacturing, and technology industries thriving and attracting significant international investment.
Romania has a well-established defense manufacturing supply chain and is highly competitive in precision metal processing, with many companies supplying defense components to Europe and NATO countries. We visited an AS9100-certified factory to observe its high-precision CNC machining process and explored potential technological collaborations, particularly in the production of drone and communication-related components.

In the field of precision metal processing, Ho Song holds AS9100 certification and possesses international competitiveness through advanced five-axis CNC machining technology, aerospace-grade material applications, and a rigorous quality control system. Our products are widely used in defense and high-precision manufacturing fields, offering customized solutions to meet various defense project requirements. This exchange with Romanian companies has laid a solid foundation for expanding into the European market in the future.
In my free time, I visited the Old Town, admired 19th-century European-style architecture, and tasted local delicacies such as Mici (grilled meat rolls) and Sarmale (cabbage rolls). Overall, this trip not only deepened my understanding of the local defense industry but also provided an opportunity to experience Romania’s unique culture and history.
